My site under "Jim Grindon" "NBA basketball forecast" I handicapped over 1,100 games in 2016/2017 season base on formulas and won. I recently tuned the formulas in preparation for the 2017/2018 season
One that seems to work the best is: Total the points a team gives up over the past 5 games and total up the allowable field goal percentage it gave the opposing team. Then record the score the team allowed on the game following the past 5 record. If you do this 1,000 times with every team and every game you will see an interesting chart that can be converted to a formula.
I do this for every stat you can imagine. What a team allows the opponent to do and the points they give up seems to carry more what than what a team accomplishes and the points the score.

Hello all,
I don't dabble too much into the NBA but I was wondering if anyone had a NBA Handicapping Formula or Program they use that you would be willing to share with the forum.
I am a numbers guy with stocks and football mainly and want to see if there is something out there that can be used for NBA.
If nobody has one that they want to share, perhaps we as handicappers can work on putting one together in this thread and someone that is good with excel and formulas can help put it together and let's see if we can make something work to our benefit.
Thoughts, Ideas, Suggestions...........
